Chevy Cobalt Power Window Conversion

In this video I will briefly explain how to mount power window motors into a LS trim Chevy Cobalt coupe with manual crank windows.
The footage was shot quite awhile back and then put together so it's not a fully fluid video, but should get the major points across regardless. I may re-do it in the future with better quality time permitting.
TIPS:
1.) To get the door off you will need a manual crank removal tool which you can pick up online or at most auto shops. There is a metal pin in the handle that the tool pushes up and it is an absolute pain to get off, but once off you'll be all set.

Nice keyboard and mouse pad! But I'd recommend getting a better mouse, if you're in a budget id recommend the viper mini but you probably already knew that

I bought a cobalt that I believe has this kit. However, it suddenly stopped working completely. The buttons don’t do anything and the windows are currently all the way down. Is there a fuse location I should know about to see if I just need to replace a fuse?
Hey Alex, it’ll depend on how they wired up the windows. It’s possible they tapped into a circuit like the radio circuit, but it would be clear if the radio didn’t work. The better approach would be using a piggy back fuse tap, so if you open up the fuse box and see a fuse with a red wire coming off of it, it could be that. The wiring goes through the center of the car from door to door (there is a small hole with rubber gasket in each door for the wires to go through). Worst case you would need to remove the doors to check if the wiring got pinched or was damaged anywhere. Removing the door is pretty straight forward and just requires removing the screws along the bottom, one or two in the door arm rest slot, and one behind where the door handle is, behind a plastic cover. Then remove the window adjustment piece and pull up on the inside of the door (being careful with the window lock pole, since it has to come up and over top of it). Let me know if you need any more help. Luckily these cars are pretty easy to work on inside of the dash area. My other car is a BMW 328 and it’s quite frustrating to do anything inside the dash by comparison.

You do realize that this is a knock-off of the manfrotto pixi mini right? I have one of these yunteng ones and it works fine for my phone but as soon as i stick my canon g7xii on it the ball doesnt really hold it well. Now got the real deal and its much much better
